Regional Plan Overview
Purpose of the Plan
The RDA MNC is responsible to the key stakeholders for the development of a Regional Plan (RP), which describes the Mid North Coast, its attributes, industry, social profile, employment and key advantages and barriers to development and sustainability. The Regional Plan sets out the Social, Economic, Environmental and Cultural vision for the Region which alongside effective Governance seeks to identify the strengths, barriers and opportunities as a list of actions.
Timeframe
Regional Plan for RDA MNC is designed to reflect dynamic strategic environment it operates. The plan documentation should also be seen as dynamic. The 20-year timeframe (2010-2030) and is a 5 year priority implementation framework as a focal point for our region's development. The Regional Plan also acknowledges that it there is no greater certainty than change and therefore requires the RDA-MNC to prepare annual work plans to achieve goals in an incremental process.
Process
The effectiveness of the Regional Plan is the engagement of the stakeholders and community it serves. The plan has been developed through a process of consultation and we continue to encourage you to connect with this plan, and with RDA, wherever you are in the Mid North Coast or if you are have connection with the MNC. The priorities will evolve as our region does - and we hope that will be with your input and engagement so that the work of RDA supports your community's ambitions.
