NBN Jobs - Overview

The NBN Rollout is expected to create tens of thousands of Jobs. The difference in skills and occupations required ranges from Labourers to Electrical Line workers to ICT and telecommunications technicians in an estimated 36 Occupations.

Briefings from NBN Co. to the RDA have indicated that contractors will look to employee local contractors where ever possible to reduce their own costs.

RDA Mid North Coast has identified both the Industry Capability Network (ICN) and the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace (DEEWR) relations as providing excellent information for local contractors to be involved in the NBN rollout on the Mid North Coast.

ICN - Industry Capability Network

Connecting your business to the NBN project

Industry Capability Network (ICN) is a not-for-profit organisation that helps local companies find new business in major projects and supply chains. ICN is working with NBN Co on the National Broadband Network (NBN) project to help regional businesses find contracts within the project. It might be hard to imagine a local business supplying goods and services to a major national project, but there is a range of opportunities available within the NBN project; big and small. ICN has a national network of more than 100 technical consultants and 28 offices around Australia and New Zealand, all working to help Australian suppliers to find new business.


ICN Gateway - register for interest in NBN contracts

ICN Gateway is an online connection point that brings together major projects and local suppliers looking for new business. If you'd like to express your interest in supply goods and services to the NBN project, register today at www.icngateway.org.au. ICN Gateway allows you to list your company free of charge, search for new business and register expressions of interest against projects both here and overseas. Project manager and ICN consultants use this information when searching for suppliers to meet their specific project needs.
