The digital economy is the global network of economic and social activities that are enabled by information and communications technologies, such as the internet, mobile and sensor networks. It consists of the computers, mobile phones and other devices we use each day to connect, find information, and transact.

The Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy has developed and designed a resource for small business and community organisations that want to learn more about the benefits of an online presence and how to go about developing one.

The website contains information about how to establish an online presense, how to get started in e-commerce, getting more out of your online presence and increasing your productivity online.

The site also contains video case studies of businesses who are benifiting from an online presence and using online tools and practices.

The blog on the website is updated regulary with information about programs, funding, applications and resources.
